Check out the cover for George R.R. Martin's upcoming Game of Thrones coffee table book, The World of Ice and Fire.
As someone who has read all five (yet) published volumes of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire,” and hasn’t missed a single episode of HBO’s blockbuster adaptation of the books, Game of Thrones, I can safely say that Westerosi history can still get more muddled and confusing than a battlefield bathed in Balerion the Black Dread’s glorious fire.
For that reason—not to mention Game of Thrones becoming a cultural phenomenon—Martin is releasing through Bantam Books The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and The Game of Thrones.
And now, thanks to Martin’s Live Journal page, we know what the latest (and likely final) cover of that coffee table book will look like.

Martin also coyly hints at its gargantuan length.
“World of Ice & Fire will be out in the fall. It is going to be a goreous book, a big coffee table volume with lots and lots of stunning artwork, and tons of fake history. We were supposed to provide 50,000 words of text, but…ah…I got carried away.”
Really, you George? Never.
