New Constantine Trailer Reveals another DC Comics Character

NBC's ConstantineTV series looks good. Damn good, actually. Never did we expect that a network show would capture the vibe of those old HellblazerVertigo comics effectively, but the tone seems fairly spot on in the clips we've seen from Constantineso far. That should be exciting enough...but now they're even teasing superheroes.

So, this latest clip from Constantineis expectedly creepy. But there's one moment that should make DC Comics fans happy. Very happy. Watch it here and see for yourself.

Yes, that's Dr. Fate's helmet. Early on in Constantine's development, David Goyer promised that we'd see other occult DC Comics characters where appropriate. Well, Dr. Fate certainly strikes us as an "appropriate" character to operate within John Constantine's supernatural world. While we wouldn't expect the blue bodysuit, gold cape, full-on Dr. Fate to show up any time soon, it's good to know that Nabu is going to be playing into the show's mythology.

Now...could Zatanna be far behind? Swamp Thing is probably out of the show's budget, but an Alec Holland appearance would be nice. Sorry. We've been spoiled by Arrow.
