Who is Rosario Dawson playing on Marvel's Daredevil Netflix series? They aren't saying, but we have our suspicions...
Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of Marvel's upcoming DaredevilNetflix series, but Marvel are keeping quiet about who she's actually going to play. The official statement for Ms. Dawson's casting simply says that she will portray "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."
We assume this means that she's playing Elektra. We suppose it could also mean that she's playing Night Nurse, what with the "heal the wounds" thing. Most likely, though, she's playing Elektra. But seriously, go read Doctor Strange: The Oath by Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin, and tell us that Night Nurse shouldn't show up in a supporting role in one of these things! Anyway...she's probably Elektra.
“Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Marvel’s Daredevil,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, in a statement. “Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”
Dawson joins Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson "The Kingpin" Fisk. Daredevilwill premiere in 2015, and should start shooting in New York City this summer.
