Xena and Battlestar Galactica star Lucy Lawless is joining the Agents of SHIELD. Who could she be?
Let's not forget that Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is a show about spies. A little mystery would do that show some good, wouldn't it? Well, this is a fine start. Lucy Lawless is joining the cast of Agents of SHIELD season two in an undisclosed role.
That's right. Undisclosed. This is some level seven stuff right here.
Hopefully, she'll be sticking around for more than a few episodes. Agents of SHIELD can use another veteran presence for Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen to play off of. We know they're looking for another semi-heroic character (some details on that here) to add a little life to the mix. But as for who Ms. Lawless could be playing? Well...we have two ideas that would be absolutely perfect right at the top of this list right here. Although if they decide to cast her as Jennifer Walters we wouldn't complain, either.
Agents of SHIELDseason 2 will premiere on Tuesday, September 23rd at 9 pm EDT.

With this season filling the gap between GotG and Avengers 2, it will be interesting to see how it holds up. It felt as if Thor 2 and particularly Capt. 2 gave the 1st season a much needed shot in the arm.
Giver her silver hair and we got Silver Sable...
Not even Xena can save this POS from being a waste of time. The series has a titanic "so what?" across it.
Any word on whether Triplett, Maria Hill, and/or Koening will be main cast, or at least recurring? Those three have way more chemistry and talent than any of the other main actors, save maybe Coulson. It'd just seem like a wasted opportunity to leave those guys on the table and keep focusing on charisma wastes like Ward or Fitz.
I could see her as Jennifer Walters...
She could play anyone she wanted too. She as Xena was the only woman who ever gave Aries so much trouble, and was able to go toe to toe with Hercules ( Kevin Sorbo) Lets bring Xena into the future like they did with Captain America I would love to see Xena take on the Red SKull that dude would end up getting a real splitting head ache.
Did you watch the whole season? The chemistry was great in the second half. The characters you mentioned HAVE no chemistry because they haven't even had enough screen time to do so.
Awww yeah. She killed it in Battlestar Galactica. Looking forward to seeing what she has to offer for this show.
I remember Triplett forming a bond with most of the cast (sharing the Hydra crisis with Simmons, geeking out with Coulson, joking with Skye) while Fitz angsted about Simmons boringly. Ward's only close relationship was with a character whose now dead, but he did create some good drama between him and both May and Skye. Still, I'd easily take the more fun Triplett over either of them. As for the other two, though they didn't do much I love the actors who played them, so I'm a little biased :P
