It's Final Judgment as we discover the truth behind the Watcher's death and where this leaves Nick Fury and the rest of the Marvel Universe!

Next week sees the release of Marvel's Original Sin #7, the penultimate issue of Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato Jr.'s big summer event miniseries. Before we hit that, we have a first look at the final issue, which will be released early next month. Finally, we'll know the truth about the Watcher's death and how it ties in with Nick Fury's secret killing spree.

Original Sin has been a blast so far. The story begins with the murder of Uatu the Watcher, the cosmic being charged with seeing all of Earth's happenings. Some random heroes are put into groups to track down who's responsible and it all leads to a ridiculous story about lesser-known villains, surprise revelations, and Nick Fury showing what he's really been up to in the last several decades.

Fury has been rather evasive when discussing the Watcher's death, not quite taking responsibility for it. In the art down below, it looks like Dr. Midas and his gang may have wounded Uatu and stole his eye first, with Fury possibly having to finish the job for whatever reason. Regardless, the recently-introduced relationship between Fury and Uatu is a strange one. Fury has been wiping out warring aliens under everyone's nose while Uatu has been silently watching his every move.

Soon we'll find out what happened then and what's going to happen now, considering Fury's on his last legs and needs a replacement.

Original Sin #8 will be out on September 3rd.
