Clancy Brown will once again try his hand at playing a DC Comics villain, this time on The Flash.
Clancy Brown has joined the cast of The Flash in a recurring role. Brown will play General Wade Eiling, a villain first introduced in the pages of Captain Atom in the late '80s and who has bedeviled the Justice League from time to time. Eiling also showed up on the superb Justice League Unlimitedanimated series.
Reports are that Eiling "is fanatically intent on protecting American interests around the world." Eiling will be introduced in episode 5, while in pursuit of Plastique, another minor DC Comics character coming to the series. In the comics, Eiling plays a critical role in the origin of Captain Atom (not to be confused with the Atom appearing over on Arrow, played by Brandon Routh), so maybe we'll get to see Nathaniel Adam show up one of these days, too!
Of course, this is far from Mr. Brown's first brush with DC supervillainy. He did a wonderful turn as Lex Luthor on Superman: The Animated Seriesand Justice League Unlimited, and voiced Parallax in the ill-fated Green Lantern movie.
