DC Comics supervillain Komodo is coming to Arrow season 3, and he's already been cast...
Komodo is coming to Arrowseason three. Specifically, he'll show up in the second episode of the season, entitled (at least as far as we know) "Sara." Komodo will be played by Matt Ward (Tron: Legacy).
Komodo (real name: Simon Lacroix) is a character introduced during Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino's run on the New 52 Green Arrow comic. We don't want to spoil too much here, but he's an archer, a badass, in the comics has a connection to Oliver's dad, and we're betting will be shown to have connections to the island that so much of Arrow revolves around.
It sounds like we may or may not see him more than once, too. "Yes, he’s the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you’ll see that Team Arrow’s pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly. “You’re going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the-week episodes have done in the past."
Arrowseason three premieres on Wednesday, October 8th at 8 pm.
