Greg Berlanti confirms that he's begun work on a Supergirl TV series, but that he has not gone to any network as of yet.
The saga of the Supergirl TV series announcement was a long one, which included a brief misreported revelation that Michael Green was executive producing and running the series—which we confirmed was inaccurate—and then that Greg Berlanti of Arrow and The Flash has taken the reins along with Ali Adler of Chuck for Supergirl's first flight.
The latter report has been confirmed by Berlanti himself as he came forward to speak with Comic Book Resources, as well as talk about how Supergirl currently does not have a particular home lined up.
“We're just starting to work on it,” Berlanti said. “We haven't gone to the networks yet, so. I'll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.”
So, while it would appear that Supergirl is definitely flying from the same mind of CW’s current televised DC Universe, whether she will be soaring into Oliver Queen’s line of fire anytime soon remains to be seen.
