With Forever Eviland Villains Month looming in September for DC Comics, not to mention the ominous Nightwing-themed teaser DC released as part of their Forever Evil promotions, you can't help but wonder what's in store for Dick Grayson in coming months. There have long been rumors that DC editorial has had Nightwing in their crosshairs as a character who could generate maximum fan outpourings of love and grief if he were to take the ol' dirt nap. Is it possible that Nightwing#23 (which hits shops this week) is the last we'll see of the Dick Grayson we know and love? If so, DC ain't telling. Here's their official description for Nightwing#23:
"Dick Grayson is closing in on the Prankster, but he’s still a step behind. After rounding up the villain’s henchmen, he gets a tip about the Prankster’s next move. But can he chase his lead in time to also save the innocent people caught in the crossfire of Prankster’s evil plan? A surprise visit from the last person that Grayson expects to see might be the only chance Nightwing has at being able to do both! Written by Kyle Higgins and featuring art by Will Conrad and Andrew Dalhouse."
