Bring on the rogues! Arrow has added Nick Tarabay as Digger Harkness, Captain Boomerang. Wait...Arrow? Not The Flash?
I will be the first to admit that I love the original FlashTV series. So much so, that when I interviewed John Wesley Shipp (which will arrive on Den of Geek soon enough), I was a bit starstruck because, well, that was Barry Allen. But one thing the original Flashshow didn't really do all that well was Flash's incredible rogues gallery, which rivals that of Batman and Spider-Man for sheer variety and lunacy.
Ah, but this new FlashTV series is a whole 'nother animal. And now another key Flash baddie has been cast. Digger Harkness, Captain Boomerang, will be played by Spartacusalum Nick Tarabay. Captain Boomerang will show up in episode seven of...Arrow? Well, that changes everything. Yes, that's right, Digger will make his first appearance on Arrowseason 3 episode 7.
Considering that Digger also did time as a member of the Suicide Squad, who rose to prime time fame last season on Arrow, this makes perfect sense. Entertainment Weekly, who broke the story, describe him as follows:
"Harkness will be a former A.R.G.U.S operative, highly skilled in martial arts and espionage, with a deadly thirst for vengeance against his former employers."
