The first episode of Gotham did well, and positive buzz on The Flash has the network asking for more scripts...
The Gothampilot drew eight million viewers on its first night on Fox. That's a strong showing for Fox's Batman prequel, and with word of mouth being mixed (but generally positive), it should pick up some more viewers throughout the week, as well. It will be interesting to see how well the second episode fares, too. Keep in mind, Gotham was up against a fairly hefty early season edition of Monday Night Football, which may have siphoned off a few viewers.

Meanwhile, the CW have ordered three more scripts for The Flash, an almost sure sign that the show is headed for a full 23 episode season order. Expect word on that to drop right after the first episode airs on October 7th.
