Marc Singer is joining the cast of Arrow as General Matthew Shrieve. We've got more details here...
Marc Singer, beloved to children of the '80s for his roles on Vand as the lead in live-action He-Man surrogate, The Beastmasteris joining the cast of Arrowas General Matthew Shrieve. He'll first appear in Arrowseason three episode fourteen during the Hong Kong flashback sequences and will recur from there. Comic fans may recognize the character name as the leader of little-seen DC Comics oddballs the Creature Commandos.
It's possible that the Creature Commandos will be a scaled-back, not-supernatural version of the squad, but you never know. Arrow certainly hasn't been shy about superheroics recently, and they do throw them some love in the character's official bio:
"In the DC Comics, Matthew Shrieve is the leader of a group known as the Creature Commandos. In Arrowhe will play a significant role in the latter portion of the season's flashback storyline."
We won't get to see this still untitled Arrowepisode until February or March, though. More on this as we get it!

Not even DC Comics junkie Mike Cecchini has a lot to say about the Creature Commandos. Mock him about that on Twitter.
