Another minor Batman villain will make an appearance on Fox's Gotham TV series this season: The Dollmaker.
NewsColm Feore (whose comic book friendly credits include roles in Thorand The Amazing Spider-Man 2) has been cast as Dr. Francis Dulmacher, the Dollmaker on an upcoming episode of Gotham. Here are the official details on the character:
With a zealotry bordering on madness, and aided by his genius-level intellect and vast medical expertise, Dr. Dulmacher pursues his demented researches, even as the bloody costs of his actions grow ever greater.
Dr. Francis Dulmacher. Dulmacher. Folks, I know I annoy some many of you because I give Gothama hard time in my reviews, and I promise I will be kinder to the show once they stop making it so damn easy. Was E. Nygma not subtle enough? At least Riddler's Nygma alias has its roots in a much simpler era of comic book storytelling, free of the "serious crime drama" aspirations of Gotham.
The Dollmaker was mentioned in an early episode of the season, as the mastermind behind the series of street urchin kidnappings that ultimately brought Selina Kyle to Jim Gordon's attention. A version of the character was also featured on a season two episode of Arrow.
