New Trailer for Starz’s Outlander

Just in time for another bodice ripper hitting the big screen, Starz’s Outlander appears ready to steam things up for Jamie and Claire fans this Valentine’s Day weekend with a new trailer for the second half of Outlander’s first season.

Starz announced today that this Outlander trailer will play on big screens around the country before Fifty Shades of Grey starts, and as someone who has at least seen the latter, I will say that the acting certainly looks to be a lot more boiling in Outlander. Continuing on a cliffhanger from the first half of season one, Outlander returns in April to continue the story of Claire Randall, a woman lost in time. As a World War II nurse circa 1945, she has somehow become lost in the world of 1743 Scotland on the eve of the Jacobite Rebellion. She also met Jamie Fraser, who has claimed her as his wife. Now, their relationship is tested as ruthless redcoats and volatile clan politics threaten to tie them apart, not least of which includes the accusation that Claire may in fact be a witch.

Outlander is based on the Diana Gabaldon book series and has been adapted for the small screen by Ronald D. Moore. It returns on April 4, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT.
