It’s going to get chilly in Gotham for Gordon and the gang.
NewsHaving introduced a slew of villains or villains-in-the-making in its first season, the question facing the producers of Gotham is: which members of arguably the best and deepest rogues gallery in comic book history will come off the bench next?
Speaking with Den Of Geek and other members of the press at WonderCon over the weekend, executive producer John Stephens promised at least one and hinted at another. Asked if a character like Mr. Freeze could fit into the more “grounded” reality of Gotham (such as it is), Stephens replied, “We will absolutely see Mr. Freeze. There's no doubt that Victor Fries is going to come up. I feel like with a lot of those characters, we're trying to find the line of how far we can push that level of reality.”

Stephens took his reasoning one step further and namechecked another possible nemesis: “I think there are versions of Killer Croc where he doesn't have to look like a giant crocodile. If you read the version of Croc in Brian Azzarello's Joker, he just looks like a huge guy with a skin condition. So there are ways you can take those characters and make them realistic. But it's a line we have to walk.”
With names like Clayface and the Mad Hatter also thrown around later in the day at the Gotham panel, it seems we’re in store for a whole new crop of bad guys come season two. Oswald Cobblepot better watch his back…
