Star Wars Comics: Lando Gets His Own Series

Good news: Lando Calrissian is getting some much needed love from the Star Warsuniverse. Our favorite scumbag-turned-hero is missing from The Force Awakens, and only got one episode in the Rebelsanimated series, but at least he's got his own limited comic book series to get into trouble.

Star Wars: Lando by Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine) and Alex Maleev (Daredevil) is out in July. 

“Is Lando Calrissian the coolest character in all of Star Wars? Depends on who you ask, probably. But if you ask me, the answer is yes, and I plan to prove it with this story,” said writer Soule to StarWars.com.

“Before Cloud City, before his glorious Death Star run,” continued Soule, “Lando Calrissian was just a man trying to make his way through an uncaring universe determined not to recognize that he was undeniably the coolest man in the galaxy. But Lando’s got a plan to change all that… and it starts with the deal of a lifetime.”

According to Newsarama, the series will reportedly be set before The Empire Strikes Back, and features Lando and his companion Lobot looking to steal one of the most valuable space ships in the Star Wars universe.
