Previously unseen footage from Avengers: Age Of Ultron gives Chris Hemsworth's Thor a little more to do.
NewsAs Joss Whedon alluded to when Avengers: Age Of Ultron was released earlier in the year, there was a lot of material that didn't make the final cut this time around. The suggestion remains that Whedon didn't get his own edit of the film through the Marvel hierarchy, although it doesn't look like there are plans for a director's cut to be released.
What there is, however, is deleted material that's beginning to surface. Marvel has released this sequence, which goes a bit further into the Norn Cave that Thor visits in the movie.
It's fair to say that Thor's disappearance then reappearance in Avengers: Age Of Ultron was perhaps the moment that made the least obvious sense. This extended sequence puts some flesh on the proverbial bones.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron is available on DVD, Blu-ray and download October 2.
Here's that deleted scene...
