Gotham Season 2 adds Nathan Darrow of House of Cards fame to the rogue's gallery as Victor Fries, aka Mr. Freeze!
NewsIt really is rise of the villains in Gotham season 2. Before the show even came back, we already had a young Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Harvey Dent, and maybe-Joker (turns out Joker inspiration) running around. Well, fans can now add Mr. Freeze to the list, because the coolest villain in the Dark Knight rogue’s gallery is about to find a chill spot in Gotham season 2.
As reported by Deadline, Nathan Darrow of House of Cards notoriety has been cast as Dr. Victor Fries. Much like Fries’ revised Batman: The Animated Series origin, the character on Gotham will be a preeminent cryogenics engineer who is a rising star in Gotham. But when his wife gets a terminal disease, his obsession with saving her, and even freezing her—well, I suspect you know how this one goes.
So, we may not be seeing any freeze rays just yet, but I’m sure that Darrow’s inclusion means they won’t be keeping that visual on ice for too much longer either.
