Adam McKay May Write Ant-Man And The Wasp

Marvel's Ant-Man overcame troubling bumps in the road to snare over $500 million at the global box office, and one of the people who helped was Adam McKay, the director of Anchorman. He came in late in the game to work on the screenplay with star Paul Rudd, for director Peyton Reed to shoot. And now, for theAnt-Man sequel -- Ant-Man And The Wasp -- it looks like he may be returning.

Asked by the Hollywood Reporter if he was going to return to script Ant-Man 2, McKay replied, "I was talking to [Paul] Rudd about it the other day. We’ll see what happens, but that would certainly be fun."

McKay added, "I loved working with Marvel. I have a couple of projects in development. One of them is more dramatic, one’s more comedy, still with a little bit of political teeth to it. And there’s a TV show idea I’ve been kicking around."

McKay's next film is The Big Short, heading to theaters on December 11. Ant-Man And The Wasp is set for release on July 6, 2018.
