In the Allegiant trailer, Shailene Woodley as Tris Prior will go beyond the Wall where she'll discover her destiny. Her destiny.
TrailerWhile one YA saga comes to a close this month, another one is heading into epic conclusion(s). Indeed, Veronica Roth’s third Divergent novel Allegiant has been cut in half, and the first installment, The Divergent Series: Allegiant, will be in theaters early next year. And now we have our newest trailer for it, as well as a poster.
As released via Buzzfeed, the trailer depicts Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) on the cusp of a new, harrowing adventure. After spending two films trying to overthrow the established order of a post-apocalyptic Chicago’s high school cliques for adults, she is now finally taking her friends beyond the Wall. But beyond this structure lies something more insidious than White Walkers… it’s Jeff Daniels promising Tris that she’s like super, super special!
With Kate Winslet’s authoritarian government overthrown, Tris and Four (Theo James) will learn that they actually have been part of a 200-year-old social experiment following the ravages of a truly scorched landscape. But if they are not careful, the experiment might soon end with all of their friends back in Chicago being smited for their Windy City ways.
By daring to go into the forbidden zone, Shailene Woodley will discover her destiny. Her destiny.
The Divergent Series: Allegiant also stars Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, and Maggie Q. Robert Schwentke, who directed Insurgent, returns behind the camera for this film.
