George Miller's Justice League movie almost got made, and the first images from it have finally surfaced.

News

You may have heard that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller very nearly made a Justice League movie back in 2007. If you aren't familiar with the project, known as Justice League: Mortal, it sounded pretty wild.

Sets were built, a full cast was assembled, and yes, costumes were designed. I wrote about the production and its screenplay in detail right here if you need something long to read. For the first time ever, we can see an actual costume from . The images in question are of Megan Gale in full Wonder Woman costume. It's pretty amazing.

The images come from the website of photographer Mark Rogers, but were brought to our attention by the folks running the Facebook page for an upcoming documentary about the unmade film. Here's hoping Mr. Rogers sees fit to release more. Everything we've heard and read about all of these costumes has been fantastic.

The above image comes from around the film's climax.

Get a look at Aquaman right here. It's a more traditional take than what we're seeing with Jason Momoa in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Note his "water hand."

Here's a look at the Martian Manhunter:

And then here's one more image of Wonder Woman to close things out. If we see more, we'll post them here!

In the meantime, you can read my full look at Justice League: Mortal, which includes a detailed look at the script and a brief chat with George Miller about why it never happened, right here.
