News2016 is a very big year for Warner Bros. Notwithstanding the likes of the Harry Potter spin-off series kicking off with Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, it'll be looking to put a tricky 2015 behind it with the effective launch of the DC movie universe (following 2013's Man Of Steel).
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice arrives in cinemas on March 25th 2016, bringing with it Henry Cavill reprising the role of Superman, and Ben Affleck taking on the role of Batman.
Affleck, chatting to Variety, has conceded of Zack Snyder's upcoming movie that "I think there is a ton of pressure on it. I mean I would be bullshitting you to say there isn't."
The new Batman was also chatting about the difficult year that Warner Bros has gone through, but added that "you’ll see next year they are going to have a great year."
"They are now developing … probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world. And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it’s going to be massive," he predicted.
Affleck will be returning to the role of Batman in two Justice League films, and the standalone movie The Batman. He's believed to have signed up for a trilogy of Batman films too.
