James Wan is likely to go for Aquaman rather than Robotech, as his post-The Conjuring 2 directorial project...
NewsDirector James Wan is a busy man. He's currently in the UK, shooting The Conjuring 2, off the back of his huge success with Fast & Furious 7. Beyond that, he's attached to both Warner Bros and DC's Aquaman, and Sony's Robotechmovie. But which is likely to move first?
Well, according to producer Charles Roven, it's likely to be Aquaman.
The character debuts in next March's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, with Jason Momoa taking on the role. Then attention is likely to turn to a standalone Aquaman movie.
"We've very early days," Charles Roven told Collider. "We’re just starting with the screenplay. [James Wan is] making The Conjuring 2 now, so he’s had his hand in the creation of let’s just call it a working document from which to write."
"But he’s directing that film, he’s got his hand ever so slightly in the development, but he’s really gonna throw himself into it after he finishes shooting Conjuring 2. And we’re planning on it being his film after Conjuring 2. He is a serious Aquaman fan."
Aquamanis currently scheduled for release on July 27th, 2018. More on the movie as we hear it...
