Arrow continues to tantalize DC Comics fans with an ever expanding array of superheroes and supervillains. And as far as branding Arrow as THE comic book superhero show on television right now, this has been a banner week. First there were the photos of Grant Gustin as Barry Allen (The Flash), then we got the unveiling of Oliver's VERY "Green Arrow" looking new domino mask. And now we learn that the daughter of Ra's al Ghul is joining the show...only it's not Talia. At least not yet.
Katrina Law (Spartacus) will play Nyssa al Ghul (or Nyssa Raatko, depending on who you ask). Nyssa will appear in season 2 episode 13, titled "Daughter of The Demon." Nyssa is coming to Starling City to track down Black Canary, so this may or may not tie up threads from the "League of Assassins" episode. In the comics, Nyssa al Ghul was created by Greg Rucka and Klaus Janson, and is well over 100 years old...kept young by her father's Lazarus Pit. One can't help but wonder if they'll take a more explicitly supernatural look at the Lazarus Pit on Arrow than we saw in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
There's still room for plenty of surprises in the second half of Arrow season two, and we'll be waiting on all of 'em!
