Get your first real bit of insight into the mind of Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The viral marketing campaign for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rolls on, and it's all centered on Lex Luthor!
Lex Luthor, or should we call him Alexander Luthor Jr. now has a Twitter account. His few tweets have been more articulate and less bile-filled than those of buffoonish Oompa-Loompa wannabe and real life supervillain, Donald Trump. And he (or the unpaid intern running his account whose life is surely a living hell) first used that Twitter account to tweet out a Forbes"profile"of himself and then an interview with Wired, both of which are just not at all disguised pieces of viral marketing.
In the Forbesprofile, we learn that Lex is actually the son of (wait for it), Lex Luthor. Now, fan theorists should all just relax, because this doesn't mean that his Dad is actually Superman's real enemy. Alexander Sr. is as dead as Donald Trump's actual chances of becoming President. Smallvillefans came to know Lex's father by the name of Lionel Luthor, but "Lionel" was a creation of that show and that show only, although he made it into DC Comics continuity in Mark Waid's Superman: Birthrightstory.
What I'm trying to say here is that the name of Lex Luthor's father isn't important. What's important is that Jesse Eisenberg's "Alexander Luthor" is the genius who runs LexCorp (which dear old Dad founded before he mysteriously croaked) has "a collection of meteorite crystals" to his name and has been accused of "war mongering." He's the supervillain you're looking for, we've already seen pictures of him looking bald and evil, and we don't need to look much deeper than that.
Well, maybe a little. The Wiredprofile (written by Daily Planet staffer Ron Troupe), gives Lex a chance to name drop ARGUS in the midst of his other paranoid ramblings, and sports an infographic that includes Green Arrow's Queen Industries and Metamorpho antagonist, Simon Stagg's company.

This makes the second mention of Kord Industries, which gives added weight to the recent announcement that there's a Blue Beetle and Booster Gold movie on the way. This is the first we've heard of Oliver Queen in this universe, too.
But before we can have any fun in the DC Universe, first we have to survive the operatic majesty of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which is due to pummel us all into submission on March 25th, 2016. You can learn everything you need to know about that one right here.
