Scott Snyder revealed via Twitter that Batman#28 wouldn't feature the conclusion of Batman: Zero Year as originally planned. Instead, Zero Yearwill wrap in Batman#29. So where does this leave Batman #28? Lucky for everyone involved, Scott Snyder and Dustin Nguyen are going to bring fans a standalone issue which the writer says "takes place in the near future and reveals all sorts of massive surprises coming to Gotham in the spring and summer of 2014."
What's more, Snyder tweeted one of Nguyen's characters, which showcases a mysterious new character.

Who is this masked lady? Could she possibly be a new Nightwing? After all, Dick Grayson is having a rather difficult time of things thanks to the events of Forever Evil. Then again, the giant freakin' gun seems to indicate that she might not be a hero. Regardless, the Bat-team has got fans talking again!
