Executive Producer Robert Kirkman teases what is to come for the rest of The Walking Dead Season 4.
Things have gone from dour to deadly during the fourth season of The Walking Dead, which opened in a surprisingly optimistic place after the casualties taken last year in Rick’s own family alone. However, executive producer and source material creator Robert Kirkman now promises a slightly better place for his zombie apocalypse survivors.
In an interview with TV Guide, Kirkman said, “We started the season pretty hopeful and pretty optimistic. We’ll open our last half of the season pretty bleak and we’ll move them to something a little more hopeful by the end.”
That’s not exactly promising a bed of roses for Rick and the gang, but in a zombie apocalypse, they’d probably settle for a shower at this point.
The Walking Dead returns for the rest of its fourth season on Sunday, February 9 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC.
