Winter is coming, and now we have a date. Like the laborious movements of an army of Whitewalkers, the anticipation for more episodes of HBO’s fantasy epic Game of Thrones has been grueling. Yet, coupled with the announcement that the hit series will return April 6, 2014 (one week later than its usual premiere date), the obvious next thing to get hyped for is a sustained trailer of the fourth season.
Ask and it shall (soon) be delivered. Unsurprisingly, HBO is going to use the new trailer for Game of Thrones to kick off the premiere of their new, gritty crime thriller True Detective. If you tune in at 8:58pm EST to HBO, you will be treated to what is undoubtedly a glorious glimpse into the world of Westerosi politics in the aftermath of the Red Wedding. However, if you cannot wait that long, HBO has teamed with Vine to obligingly offers these sampled teases of the trailer below.
Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres April 6, 2014, and the trailer again will air Sunday January 12 at 8:58pm EST prior to the premiere of True Detective.
