It’s always nice to launch the excitement for a new series with friends. Perhaps that’s why Starz has debuted the first trailer for their upcoming Outlanderseries during a live event where 2,000 fans of the best-selling Diana Gabaldon book series gathered with the author, as well as series Executive Producer Ronald D. Adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s internationally bestselling book series of fantasy, historical fiction and romance, Outlander is being adapted by Ronald D. Moore of Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fame. It follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a fierce Scottish warrior, a dangerous affair begins that will tear Claire between two timelines on the eve of the Jacobite Rebellion.
