Carlos Valdes is joining the Flash TV show cast as Cisco Ramon...another name familiar to DC Comics fans!
Hot on the heels of the announcement that the CW's FlashTV series has cast Iris West comes yet another casting announcement. Carlos Valdes (Once) will play Cisco Ramon on the Flashpilot. Cisco is described as a "mechanical engineering genius" but we may recognize him as DC Comics superhero (and occasional Justice League member) Vibe!
One interesting thing to note about Vibe in his current incarnation in the New 52 DC Universe: his powers can wreak havoc with the Speed Force, which should come in handy on a show that will feature Flash and Reverse-Flash, and he can track rifts between dimensions. Why is that second one so important? Well...one of the most important Flash stories ever remains "Flash of Two Worlds" and while a tale like that may be a little beyond the reach of this show at first, the CW has shown they aren't afraid to stretch their legs a little with DC lore. Young Cisco Ramon may be our best chance of seeing some version of the DC Multiverse in live-action in the next few years!
