Spider-Man's early years will be explored in a new limited series from Marvel coming in May!
With Amazing Spider-Man 2's May 2nd release date looming and Peter Parker's return to his rightful place in the red and blue tights, it's only natural that we'd see an uptick in Spider-Man related comics from Marvel. Spider-Man: Year One - Learning to Crawl is a five-issue limited series from Spider-Man writer extraordinaire Dan Slott and artist Ramon Perez, with painted covers by Alex Ross. Spider-Man: Year Onewill (obviously) look at Spidey's early days, but through stories we haven't quite seen before.
Not a reinvention of the early Spider-Man stories, but rather an expansion on them, Dan Slott told the AP, ""When you're looking at things in those issues, you're going: 'Wait a minute! How did this happen? How did he get this? Where did this come from? Why didn't Aunt May ever wonder about that? You start looking at it closer and closer and you go, 'There's a story here that we're not seeing,'" he said. "A very pivotal and crucial story that lovingly respects everything that went on but tells you more, so much more about Spider-Man and so much more about Peter Parker."
Spider-Man: Year One"Learning to Crawl" #1 hits stores on May 7th.
