Marvel continues to shake things up with The Superior Iron Man #1 in November, which sees Tony Stark becoming a bit of a jerk.

So, let's just recap really quickly, shall we? Thor is a woman. Captain America is African American. Iron Man is a dick. Welcome to Marvel's Avengers NOW! initiative, a stack of new first issues hitting stands beginning in October and November that will change the status quo for their greatest heroes.

The latest announcement, although one a little less prone to mainstream media attention, is The Superior Iron Man #1, coming in November from Tom Taylor and Yildiray Cinar. Marvel fans know that once a character starts referring to himself as "the superior" anything, it usually means that something is up with their ego. When it happened to Spidey it simply meant that Doctor Octopus had taken over his brain and the villain was behaving heroically (mostly) but with, y'know, a 'tude.

There's no villain running Tony's brain this time, though. "Yes, this is Tony," Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso told Mashable. "What you're seeing in Superior Iron Man is a Tony Stark who’s seen both his worst and best impulses all let loose. It is Tony, but he’s going to be in a zone now where he’s never been. He's more ambitious, cunning, egotistical ... all of those quantities are unharnessed. He has a vision for the world. I like to think his position is defensible — controversial, but defensible."

Well, nobody could ever really accuse Tony Stark of being humble. So what happens when he decides to just act in everyone's best interests, regardless of how they feel about it? He moves to San Francisco, gives everybody a mobile app version of Extremis tech. That should work out well, as anyone who has seen Iron Man 3 or several episodes of Agents of SHIELD could tell you.

Check out Tony's sleek new Iron Man armor, too.

More on this, and ALL the big changes at Marvel, as we get 'em.
