Emily Kinney, Beth from The Walking Dead, is going to square off against Flash and Atom in The Flash season 1 episode 18.
NewsEmily Kinney is going to show up on The Flash season 1 episode 18, "All-Star Team-Up" as a minor villain. Which villain? That would be the Bug-Eyed Bandit, a minor villain originally introduced in the pages of The Atom (albeit as a man) back in 1966. Since episode 18 is also the week that Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer is coming to Central City (with Felicity Smoak in tow), this makes a lot of sense.
The Bug-Eyed Bandit is Brie Larvan (in the comics, that first name is Bertram) is a hacker causing headaches in Central City, and a former "nemesis" of Felicity's. With Flash's life at stake, Brie and Felicity wage cyber war. A Felicity-centric episode of The Flash? Truly we live in wondrous times.
While this is probably fun news for fans of The Walking Dead, I tend to be wary of any villain who is clearly a disposable baddie-of-the-week that will end up in a windowless room in the STAR Labs basement on this show. Kinney recently exited The Walking Dead after her character, Beth, suffered a tragic death in November's midseason finale.
