We will definitely get to meet Hawkman on Legends of Tomorrow and other DC CW shows. We have all the details here...
NewsUPDATED!
Falk Hentschel (White House Down) has been cast as Carter Hall/Hawkman on DC's Legends of Tomorrow. For more info on who this incarnation of Hawkman is and when he might appear, just check out all the other juicy Hawkman details we have down below.
But first, here's what the handsome fella looks like...

(thanks to Entertainment Weekly)
Our original story from July follows...lots more Hawk-y goodness for you.
Hawkgirl will be a major player on the CW's Legends of Tomorrow TV series, where she'll be played by Ciara Renee. We know that the show is going to play heavily with her past lives and the reincarnation aspect of the character, which makes sense when you consider that this is a time travel show.
But a key component of the appeal of Hawkgirl is her timeless romance with Hawkman. The two heroes are reincarnated throughout time, and always manage to find each other. While Kendra Saunders has proven a strong enough character on her own, particularly in the pages of JSA, setting up her origin story means we'll also have to meet her male counterpart.
Well...they aren't. Hawkman will definitely make an appearance on Legends of Tomorrow. In fact, we might meet Hawkman before the show even premieres. There will be crossovers between The Flash and Arrowthis fall that will help set up Legends of Tomorrow, and it sounds like that's where we'll first meet Hawkman.
Showrunner Phil Klemmer spoke to a group of reporters at SDCC 2015 (including Den of Geek), and he was asked about whether we'd visit specific pasts and futures of the DC Universe. Klemmer said that they'd mostly be "confined to the post-war to very near future...but we will be seeing some Ancient Egypt in the Arrowcrossover and get into the origin story of Kendra and Carter and the intersection with Vandal Savage's acquiring of immortality."
The Carter he refers to is Carter Hall, the original Hawkman. The shortest, least confusing version of the story I can come up with here (because believe me, Hawkman continuity is a nightmare) is that Carter Hall, an archaeologist, is the reincarnation of an Ancient Egyptian prince. Kendra is similarly reincarnated through time. It sounds like these two encounter Vandal Savage in ancient times and then give each other headaches at various points in their past/new lives and throughout the timestream.
Ciara Renee also pointed out that we'll meet Hawkgirl on The Flash first. "There's definitely going to be some introductions to some of the characters that you don't know that well," she said, "so that by the time you get to January you're not just swamped with all this information."
So, in short...expect the origins of both Hawks to be dealt with well before Legends of Tomorrow kicks off, and then we'll see the spotlight kept firmly on Kendra.
Additionally, Entertainment Weekly has what seems like an official character description for Hawkman.
"Charismatic and wise beyond his years, Hawkman is a natural-born leader with an abundance of charm and confidence—well, that’s because he’s 5,000 years old. Much like the comic book iteration, Carter retains his memories of his past lives each time he is reborn, though his lover (aka Hawkgirl) is born anew."
