In what feels like the longest kept unofficial casting in recent blockbuster memory, everyone has known since Samuel L. Jackson spilled the beans that Elizabeth Olsen would be Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Yet, here we are in almost mid-November with no confirmation. Until now.
While promoting Spike Lee’s Oldboy, star Elizabeth Olsen sat down with MTV for a video chat where she confirmed that, yes, she will be playing the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Better still, she enjoys a good laugh that she will be playing the twin sister of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver, after the actor has already played her husband in next summer’s Godzillareboot. Oh, the blockbuster-casting web has become quite incestuous indeed, these days! In the video below, she also speaks fondly about working with writer and director Joss Whedon.

I like Elizabeth Olsen a lot... I just wish they would have cast a Jewish or Roma actress to play Scarlett Witch. Her ethnicity is kind of an integral part to her (not to mention Quicksilver's) character.
